Lorestan University Welcomes the Future: Inauguration of the Advisory Council for the Data Science and Computational Intelligence Research Institute

The first meeting of the advisory council of the "Data Science and Computational Intelligence" Research Institute of Lorestan University was held with the presence of Dr. Hossein Hatami, Vice President for Research and Technology of the University.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, the approval of the preparation of the regulations on how to select council members, as well as the review of mechanisms for cooperation with industries and interdisciplinary research, were on the agenda of this meeting.

Dr. Mohammad Bagher Dolatshahi, the head of the Faculty of Engineering of Lorestan University, heads this research institute.

During the meeting, Dr. Hatami and Dr. Dolatshahi, emphasizing the strategic position of artificial intelligence in the current research of the world, noted that Lorestan University should play a role in accordance with the challenges and opportunities of this transformative technology.

They explained: "Based on the social responsibility of the university, the expansion of artificial intelligence research should be used to reduce the challenges of the province and respond to the needs of society."

It is worth mentioning that the meeting was held in the Shahid Rashvand Hall of Lorestan University and was accompanied by the participation of a group of faculty members and students active in the field of artificial intelligence.

In the end, the attendees presented their views and suggestions on improving the activities of the research institute and strengthening the university's connection with the scientific and industrial community of the country.
